About me
My vision
My vision is to help create a world where grief is understood as a normal human experience, something people can talk about openly and support each other through. A world where no one is left alone with their grief and where communities feel confident holding one another through difficult times.
I would love to see a world where people share their grief with each other and are received with compassion, love, and non-judgment. I would like grief to have more of a place within our friendships, families and communities, with people more confident about staying close, remembering, listening and continuing to show up long after the immediate aftermath of a death.
My hope is also that grieving people feel able to have an active relationship with their own grief: to question, explore, tend, remember, make choices, discover what is important to them and continue participating in their lives without believing they first have to finish grieving.
Ultimately, I want to see myself out of a job. I would like specialist grief support to be needed less, or not at all, because we have become better at holding grief within communities.
