Awareness
Recognising thoughts, emotions, stress responses, patterns and what is happening around you.
Ways to work with me
Although I focus my work on grief, I also offer coaching outside of this speciality. I'm passionate about resilience and also offer wellbeing and resilience coaching and facilitation.
I am skilled in coaching and creating and facilitating courses in wellbeing and resilience designed to support people to live the life they want.
I also provide freelance facilitation and coaching for groups and organisations.
Themes might include:
Recognising thoughts, emotions, stress responses, patterns and what is happening around you.
Experiencing and responding to difficult emotions without being completely governed by them.
Noticing assumptions, considering different perspectives and adapting your thinking when circumstances change.
Developing trust in your own abilities, judgement and capacity to respond to challenges, including knowing how to communicate.
Understanding what helps you begin, continue or re-engage when energy, confidence or momentum have dropped.
Recognising where you have influence and making purposeful choices about how you respond.
Identifying what can be changed and finding practical ways of responding to difficulties.
Adjusting expectations, approaches or direction when circumstances change.
Drawing on other people, asking for and accepting support, and recognising that resilience isn't purely individual.
Responding to difficulty without adding unnecessary self-criticism or unrealistic expectations.
Recognising and using the abilities, experiences, qualities and resources you already have.
Knowing what is important to you and using that to inform your choices and direction.
Being able to see that circumstances, responses and possibilities can change without relying on forced positivity.
Recognising the importance of rest, boundaries, physical wellbeing and replenishment rather than treating resilience as endless endurance.
